Canon T5i bundle – The Right Companion For Your Photography

The Canon EOS 700D (Canon Rebel T5i) is the replacement for the Canon EOS 650D. It sits alongside the Canon EOS 600D at the very top of Canon’s “consumer” line-up, just below the Canon EOS 60D that starts its “enthusiast” range. While many of its competition have of late increased the resolution of their sensors, the 700D maintains the same 18MP resolution that has been present in previous generations from Canon.

The sensor has a native ISO range of 100-12,800 – extendable to ISO 25,600 – in addition to a Hybrid AF (Auto Focus) system on the sensor itself that promises improved AF performance through the combination of contrast and phase-detect technologies. So you can, thanks to this range, even shoot in dimly lit situations without using the flash that helps you to preserve scene atmosphere in every composition. The fitting on this body allows the use of the EOS System of lenses and accessories. (Compatible with Canon EF and EF-S Lenses)

Paired with the sensor is the latest DIGIC 5 processor which, although not the new DIGIC 5 version found in more advanced Canon DSLRs, still promises a respectable level of performance. Although the 700D’s optical viewfinder only offers 95% coverage of a scene, the eye-catching 3-inch, 1040k-dot LCD screen on the camera’s rear is in the 3:2 aspect ratio, and thus stills fill the whole frame in capture. The 700D’s LCD screen itself is of the vari-angle variety, so can be pulled away from the body and rotated for both high and low angle shooting – it’s one of the key differences between it and the smaller Canon EOS 1100D.

One of the favourite modes is the HDR Backlight Control mode which captures three different exposures and combines them into one, retaining shadow and highlight detail. The EOS 700D’s Hand Held Night Scene mode captures multiple images at fast shutter speeds and blends them together for a blur-free result.

So how do you decide what to purchase with this body? Remembering that it is important to choose wisely, deciding what accessories you need, if any of your existing lenses will fit, what your style of photography is, if you are starting from scratch and/or what your budget is. Buying sensibly at this point means remembering to research well, use online shopping comparisons and keep an eye out for bundle bargains. As mentioned before however, make sure that you check through what each bundle offers and always check the prices separately to make sure that your bundle is worth the cost then buying the body, lenses and other kit separately.

Before you decide where you are going to purchase your camera and kit it is firstly worth checking to see what offers are available.

Three great deals available on bundles on the Canon T5i but make sure that you double check current prices, check individual prices, use a shopping comparison website and as mentioned check to see if Canon are offering any deals that some suppliers may not offer. In addition be aware that using some accessories may invalidate guarantees if those lenses, for example, are not Canon lenses.

Make a list of accessories that you need and if they are included within a bundle and still come under your budget then if all else fails you can always consider selling the accessories you don’t need privately – or can always give them away as presents!
